Just home from 34 hour round trip to near John O Groats Scotland and back!

Just got home (midnight last night) from a long house removal from Brighton to Thurso, Scotland and back sharing the driving between Pete and myself whilst the other rested and slept!!

Almost ran out of fuel on the A9 up through Scotland though at 2am in the morning and just (with 5 miles of diesel left in the tank) made it to one of the only 24 hour petrol stations on the route!!

When we arrived at Thurso we thought we had the correct house so tried the key (luckily didn't wake anyone up..) and found we were at the wrong house!


As we were only 20 minutes from John O Groats thought we should at least visit there too!

For journeys like that though we need more comfortable seats in the van!!!

Just recovering still from a 26 hour one bedroom flat removals from Brighton to Elie in Scotland!

We loaded the van last Wednesday  at 2pm went home to try sleep and left Brighton with the packed van at midnight, arriving in Elie, Scotland at 9.30am Thursday morning.

We managed to get a cup of coffee from the neighbour (great Scottish hospitality!! ) and had the van unloaded by 11.30am!!

On the road again by 12 with a quick breakfast stop before commencing the 10 hour trip back to Brighton.

What a beautiful drive though!!

Great job Pete with sharing the driving whilst the other of us tried to sleep!!
